Assistant Head – Academic
Canbury is a school like no other. We have extraordinary children achieving extraordinary things everyday. Canbury is a small independent co-educational senior day school that is as individual as the students we teach. It is a vibrant, inclusive and tolerant community, established in 1982 to support students who benefit from learning in a small school.
We teach our students that there are no limits to what they can achieve regardless of their individual needs. Our very recent ISI inspection report agreed that students throughout the school persevere to solve problems supported by teachers and learning support assistants who establish high expectations, promote a ‘can do’ attitude, and do not accept specific learning or emotional needs as a barrier to achievement or allow students to rely on these as an excuse for lack of ambition. The excellent pastoral care at the School ensures that the students are ready to make the transition to the next stage in their lives.
The Assistant Head of Canbury School will assist the Head to lead, motivate and inspire students, staff, parents and the wider community, to ensure every student reaches their potential.
Together with the Head, the Senior Leadership Team and Governors, you will be responsible for establishing and implementing the vision and direction for Canbury School and ensuring that Canbury School’s ethos and values are deeply embedded and visible.
A competitive salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on their skills and experience.
Please contact [email protected] for an application pack. If you would like to discuss the role prior to application, please contact the Bursar on 020 8549 8622.
