The transition from Year 6 into Year 7 is probably one of the biggest steps that your child will make to date in their educational journey. To ensure that this transition is smooth we will be hosting three Senior Welcome Mornings over the coming months. As this transition is so important we feel it is vital to start the process for many children in year 5. The date of each event is listed below:

If there is a high number of students wishing to attend, we may add an additional day.
At Canbury School our aim is to provide as many opportunities as possible to ensure students achieve their full potential, both academically and personally; this starts with our Senior Welcome Mornings. This is an informal assessment approach for entry to the school. The students experience a range of subjects across the curriculum as well as the atmosphere at Canbury; this enables us to get to know our potential students. The students also build friendships with each other which allow them to start at Canbury in Year 7 with an existing friendship group in place.
