Learning Support Assistants

Full-time (Part-Time considered)

We do things differently at Canbury – because we understand that everyone is unique, as such we know that the manner in which we educate and support our students must also embrace those differences to ensure that we harness their individual talents.

If you thrive on seeing the opportunities in a situation, rather than the challenges, then we want to hear from you. We are seeking a talented individual with a ‘can do’ attitude. The Director of Studies will be so much more than the job title.

All staff here act, teach, foster and mentor in a way designed to bring out the very best in every one of our extraordinary students. We expect the utmost mutual respect from all, and working as part of a team is vital. You should be able to work constructively within a cohesive and busy school.

We are looking to recruit one full-time LSA although part-time will be considered. This role will involve in-class support for students with mild learning difficulties and physical disabilities. You must be comfortable supporting the secondary school curriculum including maths, science, and sport.

Experience/training is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

The students are at the heart of everything we do, so you will be happy to contribute to the range of tasks associated with a busy, successful school and be willing to go the extra mile to make their experience as enriching as possible.

For more information about the role, please review the job description and person specification. To apply, please complete the application form – CVs will not be considered

Canbury School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
