Uniform and Appearance Expectations at Canbury School
All students are expected to wear the correct uniform. All items of clothing should be clearly marked with students’ names. No item of school uniform should be left at school overnight.
Uniform
All Students are expected to have:
- Black blazer with school patch*
- White collared or revere shirt
- Canbury school tie (if wearing the collared shirt only)*
- Black school skirt or trousers (Canbury branded or un-branded)
- Black flat school shoes or all black trainers (white soles or other colour elements are not permitted)
- School bag large enough to carry A4 size books and a Chromebook
Optional uniform items:
- Plain black v-neck jumper (Canbury branded or un-branded)
Games and PE Clothes
All Students are expected to have the following kit:
- Canbury School green hoodie*
- Canbury School black sports t-shirt*
- Plain black tracksuit bottoms or leggings (Canbury branded or un-branded)
- Plain black sports shorts (Canbury branded or un-branded)
- Sports trainers (not fashion or heeled designs) with non-marking soles
Optional kit:
- Plain black waterproof jacket (Canbury branded or un-branded)
* These items are compulsory branded items

PE kit is worn to and from school when students have PE and Games days.
Your Appearance
All students:
- Must wear the correct school uniform worn at all times (unless you have permission to wear an adapted uniform from a member of school staff).
- Discrete jewellery may be worn.
- Piercings are only permitted in the ears and small studs only.
- Visible tattoos are not permitted.
- Discreet make-up is permitted.
- False nails are not permitted.
- Hair longer than the collar must be tied back in lessons where the member of staff members feels it is a safety risk.
- Shirts are to be tucked into waistbands.
- Ties, if worn, are to be done up to the collar.
